Connection Feast By The Numbers

Our Story

Connection Feast has been a labor of love since 2018.

In an effort to cure her loneliness after moving back to Seattle, Alexandra Friedman (Alex) started hosting dinner parties structured around compelling topics. She’d invite all sorts of people, from life-long friends to strangers she’d meet in an elevator. The dinners grew into larger community gatherings aimed at thawing the “Seattle Freeze.” Feasters were connecting and becoming friends. There was a buzz in the air.

Then the pandemic hit. Connection Feast quickly pivoted online. And virtual Feasts and programming was born. The upside of moving to Zoom was that more people from around the globe we able to join the conversations. For many in the community, those virtual deep conversations were a powerful way to stay connected even when we had to be physically apart.

We’ve had over 2,000 Feasters attend close to 100 events since our humble beginnings in 2018. It’s been thrilling and soul-affirming to see how Connection Feast is creating a real positive impact in Feasters’ lives.

We know our connections and community are huge drivers of our health. So we’re on a mission to help you improve your social well-being by participating in our intentional spaces and experiences. That’s why we’re so excited to host our second corhort of our 3-month group coaching program, Friendship Accelerator: live group-coaching experience to learn and embody the skills you need to spark deeper human connection with yourself and others.

Together, we’re building a movement to spark deeper human connections across the world.

We hope you’ll join us!

 Meet The Founder

Friendship Coach & Social Artist (she/her)

Since launching Connection Feast in 2018, I’ve curated, hosted, and facilitated 1,000+ people globally at 100+ in-person and virtual group events and experiences. It’s been thrilling and soul-affirming to see how a Seattle-based company like Connection Feast is now creating a positive impact in peoples’ lives across the world.

I knew in my heart in my early 20’s that community and coaching was my direction. Alas, there were parts of myself that wanted to explore what it was like to work in exciting companies and startups. While I learned a lot and worked with some of the most creative people, I craved more. I knew I’d have to create the community and life I was seeking.

I deeply believe that relationships are one of the most central healing forces and paths of fulfillment. I’ve personally experienced the power of healing in community, and am committed to curating group experiences for adults to support them in authentically relating to themselves so that they can experience greater freedom in their own life, while also embodying the social and relational skills needed to spark deeper human connection.

I feel most energized when I’m: Having meaningful conversations, creative writing, dancing, traveling, playing outside, and building community.

Best advice I’ve ever been given: “Smile with your eyes!” -Ballet teacher who hated me

I feel most energized when I’m: I'm traveling in new places, meeting new people, and being spontaneous!

When did you discover your love of connection? I've always been motivated by social connection. From building and maintaining friendships across multiple decades and continents, to hosting dance parties aimed at "melting the Seattle freeze," I've cultivated a passion for bringing people together, creating space for laughter, and mutual growth through shared interests and goal.

Naomi Price-Lazarus (she/her)

I feel most energized when I’m:

I’m in a situation or conversation that expands my worldview through sharing vulnerable (and/or hilarious) personal stories, impactful insights, and thought-provoking perspectives.

When did you discover your love of connection? I’ve been obsessed with creating connections from a young age. In high school, I was the kid with the “party basement” (complete with a lopsided bumper-pool table.) I’d go to great lengths to plan fun, structured gatherings for my friends (a fancy dress Oscars watch party for example.) That love of intentionally bringing people together to connect on a deeper level followed me into my curvy career journey and now into Connection Feast.

My Mantra: “Change is guaranteed. Growth is not.”
