Community Agreements

Being part of the Connection Feast community should be a comfortable and safe experience for everyone. As a Feaster, you have a responsibility to help us achieve this. These Community Agreements set expectations about how we approach our time together.

By participating in any Connection Feast activity (from attending a Feast to participating in our online community), you agree to the following Community Agreements:

We’re a safe and welcoming community

Connection Feast is dedicated to providing a positive experience for everyone, regardless of age, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, ethnicity, nationality, race, or religion (or lack thereof), education, or socio-economic status. We embrace and celebrate the unique perspectives everyone brings to our community.

This looks like:

  • Feeling empowered to express your authentic self

  • Approaching everyone with compassion, grace and curiosity

  • Refraining from any behavior that makes other Feasters feel threatened, harassed, or discriminated against in any way; any sexist, racist, homophobic, transphobic, ableist, religious, or exclusionary jokes or comments; or using any explicitly sexual language and imagery

We respect our shared spaces

Our time and attention are our greatest gifts. It means a lot that you’re sharing them with the Connection Feast community. When we engage with the Connection Feast community, we approach it as a special space to pause, reflect, and connect, personally and with each other.

This looks like:

  • Coming to each experience fully present, engaged, and open

  • Staying on topic, and not distracting or dominating conversations

  • Staying for the full duration of an event, leaving quietly if you must

We’re on our own personal journeys

Our community engages in meaningful interactions around personal growth and social wellbeing. Everyone comes to this from a different place in their life, which is beautiful. We take responsibility for our own growth and discovery.

This looks like:

  • Using “I” statements and only sharing stories from your own experiences

  • Only giving advice when asked

  • Keeping information and interactions confidential, unless you have permission to share

If anyone engages in behaviors that break these Agreements, Connection Feast may take appropriate action, at our sole discretion.
