Deep Conversation | Skip the small talk and connect with anyone?

Join us for a virtual deep conversation all around how you can skip the small talk so you can connect deeper with almost anybody.

πŸ‘‹πŸ½ Did you know that showing genuine curiosity about another person is the key ingredient for skipping small talk? When you’re intentionally curious, it helps you connect deeper with others straight off the bat, even strangers.

In addition, many studies suggest that curious people bring many positive qualities to their social interactions, making people more keen to feel drawn to you and enjoy your company.

πŸ”₯ But being a genuinely curious person is a skill, and it can be learned and improved, and just requires a little self reflection and practice.

πŸ™ŒπŸ½ So consider:

  • Who do you notice you have small talk with most often? Why do you revert to small talk, and why does it sometimes feel more safe or comfortable?

  • Asking good questions is one of the key steps to avoiding small talk; however do you ever hold back on asking good questions? Or are you not aware of what makes a good question in the first place? Do you know what the different types of questions are and when to apply them?

  • How do you answer questions people ask you, and how does that impact the depth or flow of your conversations?

  • When people ask you questions, are you answering in a way that invites a thoughtful response from the other person to share back with you?

  • How does tone, body language, and other cues impact your conversations?

⬇️ If you're interested in connecting deeper with both yourself and with other people, and have an open mind to look at yourself and how you can skip the small talk so you can connect deeper with almost anybody and have more fulfilling conversations and interactions, this Feast is for you!
